- Get off the train and follow the overhead signs for the other line (blue or yellow arrows).
- Use the stairs or escalators to the concourse level. You stay inside the paid area, so you do not tap your card or QR ticket again.
- Walk across the concourse and take the stairs or escalators down to the platform you need. Use the platform table above to pick the right direction.
- In peak hours (roughly 8–11 AM and 5–8 PM), allow a few extra minutes. Crowds are heaviest on the Yellow Line platforms.
Fares, tickets and timings

- Tickets: buy QR tickets on the official DMRC app or other ticketing apps, at ticket machines, or at the counters.
- Cards: a DMRC smart card or a National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) gives a discount on each trip.
- Timings: trains on the Blue and Yellow Lines run from early morning (around 5–6 AM) to around 11 PM or later. First and last train times differ by platform and on Sundays, so check the DMRC app or the board at the station before a late trip.

Offices and homes near Rajiv Chowk
Connaught Place is one of Delhi’s main business districts. Most nearby property is commercial: offices, showrooms and shops in the CP blocks and in the office towers on Barakhamba Road, Kasturba Gandhi Marg and Janpath.
There is little private housing right next to the station. Much of the land around it is government housing and offices under the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC). People who work in Connaught Place often rent in areas one or a few stops away, such as:
- Yellow Line: areas near New Delhi, Chawri Bazar and Chandni Chowk to the north, and Green Park, Hauz Khas and Malviya Nagar to the south.
- Blue Line: Karol Bagh, Rajendra Place, Patel Nagar and Kirti Nagar to the west, and Laxmi Nagar, Mayur Vihar and Noida to the east.
- Close by: Gole Market, Bengali Market and Paharganj, which are within a short ride.
Before you rent or buy near Rajiv Chowk
- Check the circle rate. Stamp duty in Delhi is worked out on the deal value or the circle rate, whichever is higher.
- Check the property tax record. Connaught Place and much of central Delhi fall under NDMC, not MCD. Ask the owner for the latest paid tax receipt from the right body.
- Read the title papers. Older CP buildings may be leasehold, with lease terms and conversion status that affect a sale. Check the chain of documents and any encumbrance before you pay.
- Put the lease in writing. For offices and homes, sign a registered rent or lease agreement with the rent, deposit, lock-in and maintenance clearly listed.
- Walk the route. Time the walk from the property to the right gate at the hour you will travel. In CP, a different gate can mean a much shorter walk.
