Certified fard copies
For a bank loan, court case or registry, you may need a signed copy of the fard. The digitally signed jamabandi from Easy Jamabandi carries a QR code that can be scanned to check it. Signed copies are also issued at Fard Kendras in tehsil offices and at Sewa Kendras. We could not confirm a current state-wide fee for counter copies, so check it at the centre before you apply.
Easy Registry: property registration in Punjab
Since 27 November 2025, Punjab’s Easy Registry lets you register a property at any sub-registrar office within the same district, not only the office for that area. You can get the sale deed drafted online or at a Sewa Kendra for ₹500 and receive WhatsApp updates at each stage. After registration, the intkal should follow automatically. For local rates, see our collector rate Mohali guide and the stamp duty in India guide.
Land units in Punjab
Punjab records state area in kanal and marla: 20 marla make 1 kanal and 8 kanal make 1 acre. The size of a marla in square feet can differ between rural records and urban schemes, so confirm the local measure. Convert with our kanal to marla and marla to square feet tools.
