How to calculate square feet
Square feet = length in feet × width in feet.
- A 12 × 10 ft bedroom is 12 × 10 = 120 sq ft.
- A 30 × 40 ft plot is 1,200 sq ft, about 133.33 gaj.
- A room of 4 × 3.5 m is 14 sq m, about 150.7 sq ft.
If a length is in feet and inches, turn the inches into feet first: 10 ft 6 in = 10.5 ft.
Square feet of a whole flat
